Market Research Professionals Join the Big Data ®evolution

Market Research Consultancy Vivisum Partners Launches Knowledge-Sharing Consortium to Explore the Topic of Big Data

DURHAM, NC--(Marketwired - March 24, 2015) - Vivisum Partners, a North Carolina-based market research consulting company, has announced the topic of the 2015 Research (R)evolutions Consortium: Big Data.

The consortium, titled "The Role of Big Data in Identifying Market Insights" will delve into this powerful marketing tool that has triggered important conversations among the market research community.

"We'll explore questions that have perplexed market researchers in recent years. Is big data an opportunity or a threat for the market research professional? How will big data shape the future of market research?" said Shirley Stoltenberg, Director of Research (R)evolutions.

Research (R)evolutions is a knowledge sharing community of market research professionals facilitated by Vivisum Partners. The goal of this community is to share best practices that increase the value of market research and enable researchers to advance in their careers.

Participation in the consortium helps client-side researchers deliver better value to their companies and increase market research return on investment. Last year's topic, "Focus on Innovation," drew from interviews among dozens of market research professionals across several different industries, from healthcare to financial services.

This year's consortium seeks to expand on a looming question that arose time after time in 2014 interviews. "We want to extract from our Research (R)evolutions community the best thinking in terms of how Big Data represents an opportunity for market research professionals to grow in their careers," said Stoltenberg.

In exchange for a 30 minute interview with Vivisum, Research (R)evolutions participants receive a detailed report outlining trends, best practices and recommendations, as well as 12 months of exclusive access to consortium learnings on the Vivisum Partners website.

However, Research (R)evolution's real value hinges on the more abstract. Said Stoltenberg, "We find that what gets participants coming back year after year is the thought provoking ideas we discuss, prompting dialogues with their colleagues about how best to leverage the value of market research."
