Marketing Executive Tom Murphy Joins Bradford Networks

Chief Marketing Officer Brings Extensive Enterprise IT Experience to Network Security Leader

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - Nov 30, 2011) - Bradford Networks, the best choice to enable secure network access for corporate issued and personal mobile devices, today announced the appointment of Tom Murphy to chief marketing officer (CMO). In this role, Murphy will be responsible for leading the development and communication of Bradford Networks' marketing vision and product strategy while building its global leadership in key sectors such as healthcare, financial services, retail, government, education, technology, manufacturing, energy, and more.

Murphy comes to Bradford Networks with more than 20 years of experience expanding global operations for numerous technology organizations. Through world-class branding and thought leadership, Murphy grew each company's global presence and user base exponentially.

"With a continuous increase in the number of employees bringing personal devices onto corporate networks, the consumerization of IT is quickly becoming one of the greatest security challenges for IT administrators in today's enterprise. However, it also presents an opportunity for Bradford to communicate the value its NAC capabilities brings to these organizations," said Dan Haley, CEO of Bradford Networks. "Tom's unique combination of IT experience and marketing leadership is exactly what we need to demonstrate that Bradford is the leading provider of NAC solutions and we are thrilled to have him join our team."

Prior to joining Bradford Networks, Murphy spent five years as the chief strategy officer of Bit9, Inc., a security company that specializes in endpoint protection and application whitelisting. During his time at Bit9, Murphy was awarded the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council's CXO of the Year award, expanded its global customer base from zero to hundreds of enterprise and government customers around the world, and positioned Bit9 as the market and industry thought leader in application whitelisting. Prior to Bit9, Murphy held leadership positions at several highly successful software companies including Precise Software Solutions, Symantec/Relicore and BMC Software/BGS Systems. While at Precise, Murphy established leadership in the Application Performance Management (APM) market culminating with a highly successful IPO and acquisition to Veritas Software.

"With constant innovations in consumer and mobile technology, virtually every organization is adopting a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy -- this is an exciting time to work in the NAC market," said Murphy. "Bradford's exceptional team and 800 customers have made it the most trusted and proven technology in the NAC market to safely onboard personal devices and I'm excited to deliver that message globally across all verticals."
