Marketing Masterminds Responsible for Kale and Owl Popularity Is Revealed

BOZEMAN, MT--(Marketwired - April 01, 2015) - Creative agency, Total BS Media, has achieved Duggar-like growth in the past year thanks to two very high-profile clients. Mega-brands Kale and Owls chose the Bozeman, Montana-based agency for their creative vision and storytelling abilities.

After years of declining sales to wheatgrass and spinach, Kale embarked on a massive brand transformation. "The only way to achieve mass exposure was through a multi-channel marketing and PR campaign. After months of RFPs and agency interviews, we met with Brit and Sarah, co-owners of Total BS Media. Within minutes, we knew we had found our agency of record, and we couldn't be more excited about what they have accomplished for us," said one bundle of Kale.

Notable achievements for the campaign include the "Superfood" tagline and celebrity endorsement deals with Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, and Beyoncé. Shortly after inking those deals, apparel contracts with Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom followed and, most recently, it was announced that Kale would be making its debut at McDonald's.

In another effort to memorialize Kale on a global scale, Total BS Media is currently drafting contracts with the United States Postal Service to create a commemorative stamp featuring Kale in a starring role among a salad of beets, quinoa, goat cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette.

Shortly after the groundbreaking Kale Campaign, Total BS Media was approached by the Owls species for another massive rebranding challenge. After seeing avian counterparts and random bird silhouettes cash in, Owls decided to cement its place in popular culture. Total BS Media was selected as the agency of record for all Owls, managing every aspect of product expansion, licensing, public relations, and branding.

Total BS Media morphed a creature often synonymous with death and foreboding into a lovable feathered friend, suitable for everything from nurseries to napkins.
