MarketLive Creates Breakout eCommerce Results for Retailers; Customers Outperform Industry by 300%

Insightful Commerce Model Raises the Bar for Driving Growth

PETALUMA, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 14, 2013) - MarketLive, the leading provider of eCommerce technology and services for high-growth merchants, today announced customer performance results that demonstrate that its Insightful Commerce model -- a blend of eCommerce technology, data analytics and merchandizing best practices -- is driving breakout success among its customers.

MarketLive's eCommerce customers experienced year-over-year revenue growth topping 47 percent, easily beating the industry average for 2012 as reported last week by ComScore, which was 15 percent. Several MarketLive customers reported triple-digit growth. In addition, MarketLive's customers reported double-digit increases in total visits and total orders.

"We've cracked the code in combining eCommerce technology, data driven analytics and expert strategies to help our merchants drive growth and compete," said Mark Pierce, CEO of MarketLive. "Our customers' 2012 results are even more impressive given the trend of Amazon pulling market share. What's more, our customers' strategy is not using only low prices and free shipping; instead our customers are strategically implementing the total solution we provide to optimize their commerce experience, including mobile, social and outbound marketing. Their results show growth in revenue and improved experiences for their customers at every touch point."

MarketLive's unique ability to deliver market leading commerce insight and technology also translated to stellar corporate performance in 2012, especially in the areas of customer traction, customer retention, and product innovation.

In terms of customer traction, MarketLive's new subscription bookings are growing at a CAGR of almost 40 percent. In 2012 MarketLive added new customers including well-known brands such as Cost Plus World Market. These new customers join MarketLive's existing stable of top-brand customers including Design Within Reach, Sundance, Ulla Popken and beauty brand H2O Plus.

Customer renewal rates are approaching 95 percent as retailers see the results of MarketLive's Insightful Commerce model in their own bottom lines.

Product innovation in 2012 included four major product releases and a 24 percent increase in R&D spending. MarketLive's investments ensure that its eCommerce platform and feature set are constantly incorporating the best new technology available.

"Our analytic insights and merchandizing expertise, combined with the MarketLive technology platform, are driving record increases in site conversion and visits for our customers, as well as consistent year-over-year growth," said Ken Burke, founder and executive chairman of MarketLive. "We also had a record number of customers adopting our mobile commerce technology. As a company, I can say that MarketLive is truly firing on all cylinders."
