MarketLive Merchants' Holiday Results Beat Industry Benchmarks by 50%

Year Over Year, Revenues Shot Up Nearly 18%, Site Visits Increased 21%, and Average Order Values Grew by 3%

PETALUMA, CA--(Marketwire - January 11, 2011) - MarketLive, Inc., the leader in eCommerce software and solutions, today announced holiday sales for its merchants were up nearly 18% versus the prior year. This growth exceeded the industry average as reported by comScore by 50%. In addition, site traffic increased 21%, average order value rose 3%, and many MarketLive merchants achieved double-digit margin increases.

With the exception of Black Friday, nine of the top 10 highest online spending days fell between Sunday and Wednesday, signaling consumers consistently shopped online in the early part of the week then switched to brick-and-mortar retailers for the weekend. E-mail communications were also consistently high during this period, an effective tactic to carry into the 2011 holiday season. In terms of weekly trends, MarketLive merchants consistently drove higher visits throughout the holiday season versus last year.
