eCommerce Merchants See Improved Sales, Traffic and Conversion Rates During First Six Months of the Year

Among the findings, the report out this quarter reveals strong year-over-year revenue growth of more than 15 percent so far this year.

In addition, other year-over-year first quarter results include:

1. 8.53 percent increase in traffic
2. 5 percent improved conversion rate
3. 3 percent decrease in abandonment rate
4. 2.5 percent increase in add-to-cart or engagement rate

As merchants begin to think about this year's holiday season, the stakes are higher than ever for relevance, efficiency and engagement with their customers. According to the report, the "1-and-out" or bounce rate continues to lag, rising for the sixth straight quarter; merchants will make greater gains if they can match their products with their target audience.
