Marketwired Launches Community Giving Initiative

Unique Opportunity Allows Employees to Choose Charity, Take Time From Work to Assist

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - Nov 15, 2013) - Marketwired wanted to make a difference that extends beyond communication solutions for its clients, so it launched a community giving program called Community Builders. Employees identify the charity of their choice, giving their time and serving as a catalyst for change in their communities. Beginning at Marketwired's corporate headquarters in Toronto, the program is expanding to Marketwired facilities around the globe from there. Every full-time employee receives one day of volunteer leave a quarter to take part in the program, which fosters team building and inspires others to give back.

"Each quarter, we encourage our team to give the gift of time to a local school, non-profit organization, community partnership or other philanthropic cause. Recently, Marketwired team members took part in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's "CIBC Run for the Cure" event. The event was an opportunity for employees to show their support by giving back to a very important cause.
