Marks Paneth & Shron Appoints William H. Jennings, CPA, as Partner-in-Charge of Real Estate Group

Jennings Will Oversee Accounting Firm's Commercial and Residential Real Estate Practices


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Feb 23, 2012) - Marks Paneth & Shron LLP (MP&S), a leading New York area accounting firm, announced today that William (Bill) H. Jennings, CPA, 55, has become Partner-in-Charge of the firm's Real Estate Group. In his new role, Mr. Jennings will oversee the firm's commercial and residential real estate practices. He serves as a member of the firm's Executive Committee, which sets policy and strategy.

Mr. Jennings has more than 30 years of public accounting experience, the bulk of it with MP&S and its predecessor firms. His primary focus is on commercial and residential real estate. He also develops family wealth-planning strategies for high net worth individuals.

Mr. Jennings has a strong interest in low-income housing and prepared and consulted on the first market-rate conversion of a Mitchell-Lama housing project in New York City, an event that received widespread media attention. He has been instrumental in affecting policy changes to HUD markdown to market and consulted on alternative minimum tax law policy. He has been honored by Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York, Parker Jewish institute and Family Service League, among others. Mr. Jennings is a former chair of the not-for-profit home-building association NATA.
