Marrero Dental Implant Practice Says Goodbye to Staff Member

MARRERO, LA--(Marketwired - February 23, 2015) - Dr. CJ Landry, Marrero residents' choice for implant-supported dentures, has announced that a member of his staff has left his practice to return to school.

Edna Gonzalez, one of Dr. Landry's longtime staff members, left the practice on Feb. 27 to pursue a degree in respiratory therapy.

Dr. Landry, owner of Lapalco Family Dental, said Gonzalez has provided gentle and professional care to each and every patient she treated during her time with his practice.

"I'm sad to see her leave the practice, but it's exciting anytime someone who works with us decides to continue their education. We're very proud and supportive," said Dr. Landry, who has served the Marrero community for more than 30 years. "This will allow us to find another wonderful employee and for Edna to help provide a better life for her family."

Dr. Landry opened Lapalco Family Dental in July 1982 at 5421 Lapalco Blvd, Suite H. He provides general dentistry services, as well as restorative dentistry, implant dentistry and short-term orthodontic solutions. Individual services include dental implants, implant-supported dentures, CEREC same-day crowns, teeth whitening, Six Month Smiles and ClearCorrect. Dr. Landry also offers Botox and Juvederm to treat TMJ issues and to reduce facial wrinkles.

Dr. Landry has worked to implement the latest technology into his practice. He uses digital X-rays, soft-tissue lasers to treat gum disease and a 3D cone beam scanner. Dr. Landry uses the three-dimensional scans to map out dental implant procedures. The scan allows Dr. Landry to view patients' jawbone density, nerves in the mouth and even the smallest blood vessels. Dental implants have become a leading option for replacing natural teeth. The implants are titanium rods that can support an individual crown, bridge or denture. Dental implants give patients 90 percent of the chewing force they had with their natural teeth and can last a lifetime.

Dr. Landry grew up in New Orleans' West Bank but lived in Germany for four years as a child. He attended West Jefferson High School and then received a football scholarship from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., where he earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry. After graduating from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, he opened a practice with a classmate in 1982 and has been practicing at that location ever since. His business partner opened his own practice in 1987.

Dr. Landry has completed a residency program in dental implants and received advanced training in rotary endodontics and orthodontics.

Lapalco Family Dental works to give patients of all ages the care they need. The Marrero dental office offers patient financing programs CareCredit and Springstone and subscribes to LocalMed.
