Marrero Dental Implant Practice Welcomes Two Dental Assistants

MARRERO, LA--(Marketwired - April 21, 2015) - Dr. CJ Landry, a top Marrero dentist, has welcomed two new employees to his team at Lapalco Family Dental.

Tammy Cunningham and Nicole Hingle, Lapalco Family Dental's new dental assistants, bring eight years combined experience to the practice. Nicole has previous experience in a pediatric dental clinic as well as being an oral surgery assistant. Tammy recently moved to the area from Austin, Texas, before joining Dr. Landry's team.

The new assistants were brought on to lend additional support to the growing practice -- support that is needed to keep the office running smoothly and on time. Their hard work in the office is already being noticed.

"Tammy and Nicole are both wonderful to work with. They help make the day go smoothly," Dr. Landry said. "It's always nice to welcome enthusiastic new team members. Our patients have been excited to meet the new members of our staff."

Dr. Landry opened Lapalco Family Dental in July 1982 at 5421 Lapalco Blvd, Suite H. He provides general dentistry services, as well as restorative dentistry, implant dentistry and short-term orthodontic solutions. Individual services include dental implants, implant-supported dentures, CEREC same-day crowns, teeth whitening, Six Month Smiles and ClearCorrect. Dr. Landry also offers Botox and Juvederm to treat TMJ issues and to reduce facial wrinkles.

Dr. Landry has worked to implement the latest technology into his practice. He uses digital X-rays, soft-tissue lasers to treat gum disease and a 3D cone beam scanner. Dr. Landry uses the three-dimensional scans to map out dental implant procedures. The scan allows Dr. Landry to view patients' jawbone density, nerves in the mouth and even the smallest blood vessels. Dental implants have become a leading option for replacing natural teeth. The implants are titanium rods that can support an individual crown, bridge or denture. Dental implants give patients 90 percent of the chewing force they had with their natural teeth and can last a lifetime.

Dr. Landry grew up in New Orleans' West Bank but lived in Germany for four years as a child. He attended West Jefferson High School and then received a football scholarship from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., where he earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry. After graduating from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, he opened a practice with a classmate in 1982 and has been practicing at that location ever since. His business partner opened his own practice in 1987.

Dr. Landry has completed a residency program in dental implants and received advanced training in rotary endodontics and orthodontics.

Lapalco Family Dental works to give patients of all ages the care they need. The Marrero dental office offers patient financing programs CareCredit and Springstone and subscribes to LocalMed.
