MASKARADE 10M-A Night to Remember

The Farha Foundation and over 400 guests come together for a night of revelry, haute cuisine and solidary, raising close to $300,000 in support of the HIV/AIDS cause

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 23, 2015) - The Farha Foundation, Quebec's leading HIV/AIDS fundraising organization, gathered 400 guests and celebrities together and raised close to $300,000 during the 16th and final edition of MASKARADE, the annual masked ball, last night at the Marché Bonsecours. This glamorous evening's theme, 10M, represents the drive to reach our goal of $10 million in distributed funds.

"It was a wonderful night filled with the best food from Montreal's top restaurants, extraordinary entertainment and incredible support from our sponsors, volunteers and guests," said Linda Farha, Volunteer President and Spokesperson for the Farha Foundation. "With our record breaking attendance this year and the enormous support we receive from the community we can the fight in honour of Ron. The funds we raise this year will help us reach our goal and will be distributed among organizations fighting against HIV/AIDS all across Quebec."

The new style of MASKARADE was a hit with guests. John Moore and Varda Étienne lead the night, while M'Michelle, Toddy and Jojo Flores, Sandy Duperval, Scott Fordham and Soulvation wowed the room with exclusive performances. Guests were treated to the finest delicacies from Buonanotte, Le Richmond, and Beatrice, Café Ferreira and more. Guests also had the chance to try their luck at casino games and bid on incredible items at the silent auction like a vacation to a wonderful home in St-Martin, two signed jerseys from PK Subban, and the grand prize, a flight on Porter for two anywhere they fly, with all profits going towards the Farha Foundation.

The Farha Foundation is also announcing the 23rd edition of ÇA MARCHE, with ALDO as the lead sponsor. The walk will take place in September 2015.

The Farha Foundation is Quebec's leading fundraising organization committed to helping men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS. The events organized by the Farha Foundation also serve to raise public awareness of the AIDS pandemic.

Since 1992, the Farha Foundation has distributed close to $9.3 million to 76 organizations throughout Quebec that provide services to HIV/AIDS victims (housing, medication, food, palliative care, homecare, etc.), as well as HIV/AIDS prevention and education programs.
