MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 18, 2014) - The Farha Foundation, Quebec's leading HIV/AIDS fundraising organization, gathered 350 distinguished guests and raised $250 000 during the 15th edition of its annual MASKARADE gala, taking place at the Marché Bonsecours in Montreal on February 13, 2014. This glamorous evening was themed ELIXIR, emphasizing the significance of finding a cure, or "potion" to eradicate HIV/AIDS once and for all.
"It was a wonderful night of extraordinary dining and entertainment and we are thrilled with the support we received this year!" states Linda Farha, spokesperson of the Farha Foundation. "We raised $250 000 in donations, which will be distributed among organizations fighting against HIV/AIDS all across Quebec."
MASKARADE 2014 was an unforgettable evening with the presence of the Honorary Chair Linda Smith, masters of ceremonies Sonia Benezra and Alexandre Despatie, the performances of 70's diva singer/songwriter Martha Wash, along with DJ Sandy Duperval, and a choreographed show created specifically for the event by Scott Fordham Exceptional items like a trip for two to Mont-Tremblant were up for grabs at a silent auction, with all event profits going towards the Farha Foundation.
The Farha Foundation is also announcing the 22nd edition of ÇA MARCHE, which will take place on September 27, 2014. This year, the event will take place on a Saturday instead of Sunday.
