Masked Nude Competition To Invade Streets Of Montreal

Controversial New Event Promises To Provoke And Entertain City

Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, City Editor, Lifestyle Editor, News Editor MONTREAL, QUEBEC, MEDIA ADVISORY--(CCNMatthews - March 13, 2007) - Citizens of Montreal may notice some strange behaviour on the streets this month. An extreme scavenger hunt called Faceless Invasion will send hundreds of students across the city to perform a list of shocking tasks. The students work in teams which are independently of one another but coordinated through the Faceless Invasion website, SMS, and Social Networking websites such as Facebook and MySpace.

Each team videotapes their own progress as they complete items on the Faceless Invasion List. All participants must wear mexican wrestling masks to protect their anonymity when the videotapes are later released onto the internet. This encourages every participant to perform freely, knowing that the videos of their actions will not follow them through life. Tasks on the 200 item list include un-earthing an inflatable sheep in Parc Mont Royal, mud wrestling in the Plateau, waxing almost any conceivable body part, and running down St. Catherine's street completely nude (except for the masks). In order to succeed, teams must excel in all 6 categories of the competition: problem solving, engineering, eating/drinking, body modification, performance, and sex. Participants are encouraged to create an alternative persona for themselves to fully step outside their day-to-day lives and identity. The videos are scored by an anonymous team of judges the following day. Participants names are strictly confidential; however, teams can choose to represent their school on the online scoreboard. Teams from McGill, Concordia, Université de Montréal, and UQAM are expected to participate as well as some teams from non-university groups. The winning team receives a $500 cash prize.

All teams must sign up online before March 19th to enter the March 31st competition. All participants must be at least 18 years or older to sign up. You can find out more information and register at www.facelessinvasion.com. IN: ENTERTAINMENT, MEDIA, SOCIAL, TECHNOLOGY, OTHER
