Mastodon Confirms Small Intimate Club Run for Fans

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 22, 2007 -- With a sold-out headlining tour of the U.S. and a European tour under their belt, Grammy nominees Mastodon will keep the momentum going with a string of radio station shows in the U.S. (see dates below) before hitting Australia in April. The tour will bring the progressive rock quartet to Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Utah, Washington, and Oregon beginning March 17.

Look out for a cover feature in Kerrang! later this month and features in Spin and Blender in April. On the video front, the band was recently tapped as a "Discover & Download" artist on MTV and can currently be seen on MTV2's "T Minus Rock Show" at #7 on the countdown. The single, "Colony of Birchmen," is also in regular rotation on Fuse Television's "Uranium."

Radio's response to "Colony of Birchmen" has been rapturous. Mastodon has been #1 at Metal Radio and hovering around #30 on the Active Rock chart.
