Matissoft Inc. to Receive $250,000 in Funding From Government of Canada

SAINT-GEORGES, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 21, 2011) - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Member of Parliament for Beauce, announces the awarding of $250,000 in repayable funding to Matissoft Inc. through the Community Adjustment Fund. This financial assistance will enable the firm to review and modernize the platform for its software package, a comprehensive set of computer programs designed to meet the needs of multiple users carrying out the same type of functions.

Indeed, the firm's management is showing proof of the kind of initiative that is sure to foster company growth," notes Maxime Bernier.

This system upgrade will allow Matissoft to introduce new technologies that better meet the needs of the market. By integrating new modules into its software package, which has been developed specifically for the milling industry, the company is looking to achieve greater versatility and expand into other markets, including the manufacturing sector as a whole.

The Community Adjustment Fund is a two-year, $1 billion measure provided for under Canada's Economic Action Plan to help fund projects that have the potential to preserve and create employment in communities affected by the economic downturn.
