Mattson Announces the Suprema III and the Helios III -- the 3rd Generation of Their Strip and RTP Products

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwired - March 14, 2016) -  Mattson™ Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: MTSN), a leading supplier of advanced wafer fabrication equipment used by semiconductor manufacturers, today announced the introduction of the third generation of their dry strip and conventional rapid thermal processing (RTP) systems. Both the Suprema® III and the Helios® III retain the most advanced capabilities of their product lines, while being re-engineered to strive towards the highest productivity at the lowest cost of ownership in the industry. "The Suprema III utilizes the advanced processing technology of the Suprema XP, while reducing both the amount of factory space required for installation and the operating cost per wafer of the new system," stated Ryan Pakulski, Vice President and General Manager of Mattson's Plasma Products Group. "The Helios III development is also focused on reducing the system's footprint and operating cost per wafer, while maintaining the leading edge conventional RTP capabilities of our Helios XP," added Johannes Keppler, Vice President and General Manager of Mattson's Thermal Products Group.
