Mawson West Appoints Non-Executive Directors

PERTH, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwired - April 7, 2014) - Mawson West Limited (TSX:MWE) ("Mawson West" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Mark Hohnen and Ms Susie Corlett as Non-Executive Directors of the Company effective 5 April 2014.

Mr Hohnen has been involved in the resources industry since the late 1970s and has extensive international corporate and finance experience. Mr Hohnen has held a number of directorships in both public and private companies, and was notably the founding Executive Chairman of Kalahari Resources Plc, Anglo Pacific Resources Plc as well as being the founding Chairman of Cape Mentelle and Cloudy Bay wines. Mr Hohnen is currently a Director of Praetorian Resources Ltd, Swakop Uranium (Pty) Ltd (currently developing the world's second largest uranium mine), Mtemi Resources Ltd, and Chairman of Wildhorse Energy Ltd.

Ms Corlett is a geologist and executive with over 20 years' experience in exploration, mining, and finance in Africa, Australasia and the Pacific Rim. Ms Corlett is currently an Investment Director of Pacific Road Capital and is a Director of the not-for-profit charity, the David Burgess Foundation. Ms Corlett's experience includes exploration and mine geology with RGC Limited and Goldfields Limited, and broad experience in the banking industry with Standard Bank, Macquarie Bank and Deutsche Bank. Ms Corlett holds a BSc Hons (Geology) from the University of Melbourne, is a Member of the AusIMM and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mr Hohnen and Ms Corlett join Mawson West following the resignation of Louis Rozman as Non-Executive Director, who steps down from the Board to focus on Pacific Road Capital's other business interests.
