Maximizer Software Appoints Vivek Thomas President

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 9, 2009) - Maximizer Software Inc. (TSX:MAX), a leading provider of simple, accessible customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, today announced the appointment of Vivek Thomas to president. Thomas, current managing director of Maximizer's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division, will succeed John Caputo on June 1, 2009. Caputo is leaving Maximizer Software as president to pursue a new venture in real estate and finance but will continue to serve as a strategic corporate advisor to Maximizer.

Thomas joined Maximizer Software in 2002 as director of Americas sales and within four years was promoted to vice president in the Americas, then managing director of EMEA. Thomas today oversees all sales, marketing, distribution and operations for EMEA including the company's extensive business partner network across the region. Under Thomas' leadership over two years, Maximizer EMEA flourished with 14% CAGR revenue growth and a significant growth in profitability. With more than 18 years of management experience, prior to Maximizer Software, Thomas held senior management positions with CRM vendor FrontRange Solutions, Business Objects and Sony Corp.

Bringing over 20 years of management experience, Richardson joined Maximizer EMEA in 2000 where he has held a variety of management positions including head of professional services and operations.

Caputo joined Maximizer Software in 2000. Under his direction, the company gained profitability while achieving record levels of revenue, and he has steered Maximizer to aggressively pursue the mobile CRM market. Today, Maximizer boasts rapid adoption of its mobile CRM software and supports the widest number of smartphones in the industry.
