Maximum Impact: Women Community Builders to Be Honoured; Latest Survey Shows Over 90% of Women Want to Create Change in Their Communities

SURREY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 4, 2011) - In honour of the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day, six women from the Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna areas will be invited as guests to 'Defying Expectations', a day-long conference and networking event in Surrey, featuring four of Canada's most accomplished and respected women.

"Our ongoing 'Dear Diary…' research into women's beliefs and attitudes indicates that today, more than 93.5% of women are interested in creating change in their communities," says Jamie MacDonald, managing partner of Maximum Impact Training, the company presenting 'Defying Expectations'.

"Historically women have been a driving force in making their community a rewarding place to live. Our current research shows that this drive is alive and well in the 21st century! We plan to honour that spirit and help carry it into the future by giving a new generation of women the tools for achieving their personal and community goals."

Maximum Impact will be asking prominent women's organizations in Greater Vancouver, Greater Victoria and Kelowna to nominate 2 deserving women from each area to attend the a day-long personal development conference April 15, 2011.

The selected women will have the opportunity to learn the strategies used by four highly successful women to overcome limiting beliefs, build confidence and self-esteem and create new alliances. The chosen women will receive conference admission, workbook, lunch, and opportunities to connect with influential women.
