Fairytale Princess Luncheon and Mother's Day


FRANKENMUTH, MI--(Marketwire - Apr 9, 2012) - Zehnder's restaurant, located in the Bavarian town of Frankenmuth, opened its doors for business on Mother's Day, 1928, when Zehnder's chefs served up a total of 312 chicken dinners. Since then, hundreds of thousands of guests have enjoyed the Mother's Day tradition at Zehnder's, and Zehnder's has come to know Mother's Day as one of the busiest days of the year serving nearly 5,000 guests. In celebration of Mother's Day, Sunday, May 13, Zehnder's will sponsor its 21st annual Mother of the Year contest. Zehnder's opens on Mother's Day at 11:00 a.m.

HONOR MOM
Individuals can enter the Mother of the Year contest by writing a poem in 50 words or less why their mother should be selected "Zehnder's Mother of the Year." The winning mother will receive a Zehnder's of Frankenmuth Mother's Day dinner for up to 10 family members (including Mom); a Zehnder's overnight package for four at Zehnder's Splash Village Hotel & Waterpark; and a recognition plaque. Entries must include the name of the nominated mother, and the name, address and day phone number of the individual submitting the nomination. The winning entry will be selected by Zehnder's of Frankenmuth officials. The winner will be notified by Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

Fairytale Princess Luncheon with Cinderella
Youngsters get to have some fun when the Fairytale Princess luncheon returns on Saturday, May 12, with favorite Disney sing-along selections led by Cinderella. The lunch and show begin at 11 a.m. with a menu highlighted by Zehnder's famous chicken and a special dessert. Young ladies are encouraged to dress like a princess and receive a gift of a tiara. Young gentlemen can take home a play sword and can dress up for the festivities as their favorite fairytale character. Tickets are $35 per person for lunch, entertainment, tax and gratuity.
