Mazatlan Spa Earns Recognition in Conde Nast Readers' Poll

The 21st annual Spa Poll awards Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay a top ten spot in the Mexico and Central America category for overall quality

MAZATLAN, MEXICO--(Marketwire - June 20, 2011) -

The spa at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Mazatlan is one of the top ten in Mexico and Central America according to an annual Condé Nast Traveler readers' poll. The Spa Poll was published in the magazine's June issue. Overall ranking - based on treatments, staff, and facilities - awarded Pueblo Bonito 8th Place on the Latin American list. The spa's staff received one of the five highest scores, thus highlighting service as part of the destination's many attractions.

Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay is a five star AAA Four Diamond hotel, situated on 20 acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean. "We are absolutely thrilled to receive such recognition from Condé Nast readers. It is a source of pride for everyone in Mazatlan's tourism industry, as it shows the level of service the destination offers," noted Jose R. Gamez, Director of National Sales for Pueblo Bonito Ocean Front Resorts and Spas.

The company owns and operates two hotels in Mexico's Colonial City on the Bach. Both properties report having reached near occupancy levels in April and among the highest levels in Mazatlan for May. WestJet Vacations currently offers all-inclusive packages to the resorts with departures from Calgary and Vancouver. "We congratulate Pueblo Bonito and Mazatlan," said Tami Brown, of WestJet Vacations. "It is a destination that offers something for everyone … luxury, affordability, culture and adventure. As I said during a recent visit, it is the genuine friendliness of the people that make it that much more special."

Up!, WestJet's inflight and online magazine, has published two great articles about activities in Mazatlan: Ziplining with Huanacoa Canope Adventure and 48 Hours in Mazatlan. In addition to Pueblo Bonito, WestJet Vacations offers packages to El Cid Granada, Castilla and Marina Hotels; Hotel Playa Mazatlan; Inn at Mazatlan; and Las Flores, among others. Luxury accommodations can also be found at Estrella del Mar Golf and Beach Resort and Casa Lucila.
