McCormick Canada Launches Six New Flavourful Recipe Mixes

LONDON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 16, 2010) - McCormick Canada has launched six new Club House Flavourful Recipe Mixes that feature a coarse blend of fresh, authentic spices and herbs that are easy to see in the package thanks to re-designed packaging that includes a clear window on the stand-up pouch.

The new Club House Flavourful Recipe Mixes include Lemon Ginger Beef Stir-fry, Tuscan Chicken, Cajun Chicken, Hickory BBQ Ribs, Lemon Thyme Pork and Balsamic Chicken. All contain no trans fat, no artificial colours or flavours, and no added MSG. 

"The six selected flavours are trendy and inspiring and are popular dishes among restaurant offerings, but are easy to make at home, with the cook adding fresh ingredients, following easy to use ingredient tips and directions on the back of the pouch," says Linda Stiles, Product Manager, McCormick Canada. "IPSOS Consumer Concept Screening Research was conducted in December 2009 for the Club House Flavourful Recipe Mix products and the results were excellent with strong Purchase Intent with 61 per cent of consumers stating they would definitely or probably buy, which is significantly higher than the IPSOS food norm of 42 per cent," notes Stiles. "As well, 25 per cent of respondents stated they would definitely buy, which is also significantly higher than the IPSOS food norm of 13 per cent."

Other findings include that the consumers tested felt the Club House Flavourful Recipe Mix products provide a "unique product offering, are good value for the money and are a healthy food choice." And Purchase Intent among Singles and Childless couples was 58 per cent, and among Light or Non-Dry Sauce Mix (DSM) users, Purchase Intent was 55 per cent, both much higher than the IPSOS food norm, and both outside of the traditional Club House target consumer.
