McDonald's® USA Promotes Dan Gorsky to Senior Vice President of North America Supply Chain Management

OAK BROOK, IL--(Marketwire - December 22, 2008) - McDonald's USA (NYSE: MCD) is pleased to announce the promotion of Dan Gorsky to Senior Vice President, North America Supply Chain Management. Gorsky, most recently Vice President for Supply Chain Management, McDonald's USA, is now responsible for food and paper purchases for more than 15,000 McDonald's restaurants in the United States and Canada.

In his current role, Gorsky leads the strategic direction for the more than $10 billion North America Supply Chain business, and is responsible for upholding McDonald's standards and values while balancing the long-term interests and changing needs of McDonald's customers, franchisees and suppliers.

Under Gorsky, McDonald's Supply Chain Management is responsible for food safety and quality assurance, supply chain sustainability, new product commercialization, risk management and sourcing supply for existing as well as new menu items for McDonald's more than 15,000 restaurants throughout North America.

A 15-year McDonald's veteran, Gorsky most recently led the strategic sourcing efforts for food and paper worth more than $9 billion for 14,000 McDonald's restaurants in the United States.

Gorsky is a member of the DuPage Board for Metropolitan Family Services, an organization dedicated to providing and mobilizing the services needed to strengthen families and communities. He is also involved with coaching youth sports.

Gorsky holds a B.A. in Business-Economics from Benedictine University in Illinois. He and his wife, Kelly, reside in Naperville with their three children.
