With more than a decade of real estate experience, Abbie joins McGuire having previously held roles as Head Broker, Sales Leader and Manager, Director of Business Development, Top Producing Sales Associate, as well as a Prosecutor/Criminal Trial Attorney with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.

Abbie’s real estate career first began in 2000, as the Director of Business Development for ZipRealty where she developed partnerships focused on lead generation for the brokerage and its agents. She gained deep insight into what it is that consumers want by way of real estate information, and the type of agent representation that they need when buying and/or selling a home. In 2002, she obtained her real estate brokers license and in 2004 achieved status as a Top Producer. Abbie continues to specialize in the areas of Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, and nearby communities.
She took over as Head Broker of ZipRealty in 2006, overseeing its brokers and transactions in 42 markets across the U.S., as well as managing agent development and real estate compliance. Abbie served on the National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors from 2010–2011; and in 2012 she helped launch the California Division of 8z Real Estate as the Sales Leader and Manager for the state.
Abbie’s thorough legal background and expertise in client representation, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution was strengthened during her time as a prosecutor and criminal trial attorney with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office from 1992–2000. Serving under District Attorneys, John Meehan and Tom Orloff, she was responsible for prosecuting narcotics, assault, robbery, and homicide cases—in addition to conducting numerous preliminary hearings, law and motion matters, and managing the Hayward Superior Courthouse Misdemeanor Trial Team. Outside of real estate, Abbie most enjoys cheering on her sons at their baseball and basketball games, taking her beloved Golden Doodle on long walks, as well as reading and traveling.
