McMillan Names Rob Hyams as President

Announces Leadership Changes and Strategic New Hires to Support Client Momentum and Business Growth

OTTAWA, ON--(Marketwired - Sep 10, 2014) - McMillan, a full service creative agency that focuses on business-to-business, advocacy and cause marketing clients around the world, today announced significant leadership changes that will carry the company into a new era of award-winning creative. Gordon McMillan, founder and chief creative officer, will now assume the role of chief executive officer while continuing his role as chief creative officer. Rob Hyams will take on the role of president, effective immediately. Rob has served as the vice president of strategic services at McMillan for the past eight years.

"I'm looking forward to building on the momentum that Gordon has created at the agency, taking it forward, and truly making McMillan into a creative force in B2B marketing," Rob said.

The change in responsibilities is designed to give Gordon the freedom to focus on leading creative across the agency.

"Rob and I have worked together for 17 years as strategic partners. Rob's promotion into the role of president centralizes all the business planning, strategy and operations and ensures consistency for both the agency and our clients in what we've built and where we're going," Gordon said. "And more importantly, it allows me to focus on leading creative for key accounts and on creative mentorship, knowing the ship is being guided by Rob's steady hand."

In addition, McMillan announced the agency has hired two new team members who will join the company to support continued client and business growth: Crystal Todd, account supervisor, and Nick DeGiorgio, art director. Crystal brings 11 years of marketing, advertising and sponsorship experience in both agency and client organization settings to McMillan. Prior to joining the company, Crystal managed creative services for Rogers Communications. At McMillan, Crystal will help manage McMillan's growing relationship with Schneider Electric. Nick joins McMillan from bv02, where he was the interactive art director supporting a wide range of clients. With more than a decade of experience in the advertising and design industry, Nick has worked with several leading brands, including Dell, Intel, TimeWarner, NBC and SAP Canada. At McMillan, Nick will be responsible for leading the digital design for Schneider Electric.
