About E-Ville Roller Derby League: E-Ville Roller Derby was formed in 2006 by a group of pioneering women intent on promoting an active lifestyle and encouraging alternative sporting options for women in Edmonton and surrounding communities. The League has quickly grown to become Edmonton's largest and most popular roller derby league, with four house teams. During the regular season they bout monthly, playing to hundreds of fans at sold-out games.

Several of the skaters' families have been devastated by cancer. The league's first significant fundraiser, EradiSkate Cancer, is seeking to raise $15,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society as part of the Alberta "Reach for a Cure" campaign.

About the Alberta Canadian Cancer Society: The Canadian Cancer Society is a national community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer. Funds raised are used for funding the best cancer research in the country, supporting those living with cancer, and crucial strategies in cancer prevention and early detection.
