MEC and Cannes Lions Match Rising Stars With Industry Luminaries in New Young Student Talent Initiative

Mentors Include Emma De La Fosse, Chief Creative Officer for OgilvyOne, EMEA, Lindsay Pattinson, Worldwide CEO, Maxus, and Charles Courtier, CEO, Global for MEC

CANNES, FRANCE--(Marketwired - June 20, 2016) - MEC, a leading media agency,, has partnered with Cannes Lions to launch Young Student Talent, a new initiative for 2016, created to help the development of some of the industry's brightest young talent.

The initiative, designed to provide students with insight into the industry, build their confidence and accelerate their career development, will pair students with a past Cannes Lions judge or industry leader for one-to-one mentoring sessions throughout the Festival.

The mentor will guide the student through the week, offering advice, feedback and support during the sessions. Mentors will provide practical counsel on breaking into the industry and help the students begin to build a network of contacts, while gaining an insight into the minds of new talent coming into the industry and learning about their dreams and expectations. Students will also be given the opportunity to interview at #MECLiveHire for a variety of entry level positions across the world.

Fifteen students have been selected from more than 45 applicants to the scheme, who will participate alongside mentors from agencies around the world, including:
