Media Advisory: 2008 Canadian Forces Combat Shooting Team Competing at Bisley, United Kingdom

CFB GAGETOWN, NEW BRUNSWICK--(Marketwire - July 3, 2008) - The 2008 Canadian Forces Combat Shooting Team (CFCST) is currently representing the Canadian Forces in the British National Rifle Association (NRA) Service Competitions, the Army Rifle Association (ARA) Central Skill-At-Arms Meeting (CENTSAM) and the Territorial Army Skill-At-Arms Meeting (TASAM) at Bisley Ranges in the United Kingdom.

The core unit forming the CFCST is 4th Air Defence Regiment based out of Canadian Forces Base Gagetown. The 20 team members, who are from across Canada, have undergone an intensive physical fitness and shooting program here on base in preparation for these International Small Arms Competitions. The team has been in the UK since June 14 and have been participating in training and practice matches prior to the competitions which commenced on June 27 and run until July 11 inclusively.
