Host organizing committee to announce cities to host pre-competition schedule

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 8, 2008) - The host organizing committee for the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship will announce the cities set to host pre-competition camps and games for the 10 competing countries on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. at Ottawa City Hall's festival plaza.

Jim Watson, Ontario Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and MPP, Ottawa West-Nepean, City of Ottawa Mayor Larry O'Brien, Hockey Canada chief operating officer Scott Smith, and host organizing committee vice-chair Cyril Leeder will provide details.

Following the announcement, the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship flag will be raised at Ottawa City Hall, where it will fly until the end of the event.
