Media Advisory: 2014 Canada Day at Canada Place Road Closures

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - June 26, 2014) - Please note the following road closures in support of hosting Canada Day at Canada Place celebrations on July 1, 2014.

From 800 to 1000 Canada Place Way (West of Howe Street to Burrard Street and West of Burrard Street to Thurlow Street) will be closed to vehicle traffic from Monday June 30 at 6 p.m. through Tuesday July 1 at 11:59 p.m.

Local access to the hotels, parkades (999, 1038 & 1055 Canada Place and 200 Burrard St) and Canada Place cruise ship terminal will be maintained during the day's events. It is expected access and egress could be further restricted at approximately 9 p.m. on July 1 due to crowds viewing the Canada Day Parade and preparing to view Coast Capital Savings Fireworks Show at Canada Place.
