Canadian Labour Congress Officers to join CBC picket lines Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, News Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor OTTAWA AND TORONTO--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 19, 2005) - Officers of the Canadian Labour Congress will join locked-out CBC workers at their picket lines in Toronto and Ottawa today as a show of solidarity and support.

Secretary-Treasurer Hassan Yussuff, will join pickets in front of CBC Toronto Headquarters at 10:00 a.m.

Executive Vice-Presidents Barbara Byers and Marie Clarke Walker will join pickets in Ottawa on the Sparks Street side of the CBC building at 11:00 a.m.

The Canadian Labour Congress, the national voice of the labour movement, represents 3 million Canadian workers.
