Ottawa Senators owner to host more than 100 children at Scotiabank Place

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 26, 2010) - For the seventh consecutive year, Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk will host more than 100 children, as selected by Child and Youth Friendly Ottawa (CAYFO), at Scotiabank Place on Saturday, Nov. 27, from noon to 2:15 p.m.

Melnyk, along with Max Keeping, Spartacat and members of the Ottawa Senators alumni, will present each participant with early Christmas presents, including a Senators jersey, a helmet, and a brand new pair of skates - all donated by Melnyk.

Who: Eugene Melnyk, owner, Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and Scotiabank Place; Max Keeping, honorary chair (CAYFO), CTV Ottawa's ambassador to the community and Sens Foundation chair; more than 100 children; Senators alumni and Spartacat, Ottawa Senators mascot and ambassador of fun.

When: Saturday, Nov. 27, noon to 2:15 p.m.

Where: Scotiabank Place, please use Gate 3 for building access.

Media opportunity: Noon: Eugene Melnyk and Max Keeping will welcome the children in the lower Gate 2 foyer; 12:30 p.m.: skate begins; 1:15 p.m.: group photo. During the skate, Melnyk will be available for additional photos and interviews with media representatives.
