Media Advisory: A "Revolution" in Long Term Care, or Just More Spin?

Joint media conference with CUPE, SEIU, CAW and OPSEU, Monday March 30

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 27, 2009) - Unions representing most long-term care workers will hold a Monday media conference to render their verdict on a flawed process that was supposed to create better long-term care for residents.

Leaders from major health care unions - the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1 Canada, the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) and the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) - will make a major announcement concerning the process being led by Shirlee Sharkey under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care.
