Media Advisory: A Special Advisory Council to the Federal Government on Veterans' And Seniors' Issues Releases Major Discussion Paper On Health Care Concerns.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 3, 2006) - The Gerontological Advisory Council (GAC) will outline the most pressing issues facing Canada's most senior veterans at a press conference on November 6, 2006 at 12:30 pm at the National Press Theatre. They will table a report that outlines recommendations on how to support more senior veterans and their families, help them enhance their health and well-being, and improve their access to health and social services.

GAC Chair, Dr. Victor Marshall, other members of the Council, and representatives from Canada's veterans' organizations, will be available for post-conference interviews. Council spokespeople will be available in select cities across Canada for regional media inquiries and interviews, as requested.
