Media Advisory: Academic and Neighbourhood Reps to Share Vision for Cohabitation at 'Town & Gown, CMHC Symposium'


CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 12, 2011) - From May 16 – 17, city officials, landlords, planners and developers, along with university and college students, faculty and staff from across Ontario will take part in the 'Town & Gown, CMHC Symposium'; supporting and promoting innovative community-university partnership models between post-secondary institutions and near-campus neighbourhoods.

Local representatives include Pam Wolf, Councillor, City of Cambridge - Ward 5; Dr. Jeff Lederer, General Manager and Adjunct Professor, University of Waterloo - School of Architecture and; Lyle Quan, City of Waterloo Fire Chief. The event is hosted by the Town and Gown Association of Ontario (TGAO), Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), City of Cambridge and University of Waterloo's School of Architecture.
