Media Advisory/ACCREDITATION: 2014 Royal Tour to Canada of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 5, 2014) - Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will tour Canada from May 18 to May 21, 2014. They will make four official stops in three provinces:

  • Halifax, Nova Scotia (May 18 and 19)
  • Pictou, Nova Scotia (May 19)
  • Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, (May 19 and 20)
  • Winnipeg, Manitoba (May 20 and 21)

All media representatives who wish to cover the 2014 Royal Tour must be accredited in accordance with the normal procedures of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and obtain an ID card. Freelance journalists must provide a letter from their employer attesting to their employment.

The application for accreditation can be accessed online at www.accreditationcanada.gc.ca/RT_TR2014/ and must be accompanied by the applicant's electronic identification picture (jpg or gif format).

The deadline to apply for accreditation is May 9, 2014. All sections of the application must be completed.

Please specify in which province you wish to pick up your ID card and check the consent box in the accreditation form if you wish to receive further information about the 2014 Royal Tour (i.e., media guide).

The media representatives who will receive accreditation can obtain their ID card and further details at the media centre in each province.
