Media Advisory: April 28 Day of Mourning for Killed and Injured Workers

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 24, 2012) - On Saturday, April 28 Canadians will observe a National Day of Mourning in memory of workers killed or injured on the job. Canadian Labour Congress President Ken Georgetti will attend a locally organized event in New Westminster. Georgetti will be available for comment to the media.

In 2010, a total of 1014 Canadians lost their lives as a direct result of their work, 144 of them in B.C.
