Media Advisory: April 28 Day of Mourning for Killed and Injured Workers

CLC Executive V-P Marie Clarke Walker will be in Winnipeg


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 24, 2012) - On Saturday, April 28 Canadians will observe a National Day of Mourning in memory of workers killed or injured on the job. Canadian Labour Congress Executive Vice-President Marie Clarke Walker will participate in locally organized events in Winnipeg on April 27 and 28. Clarke Walker will be available for comment to the media.

In 2010, a total of 1014 Canadians lost their lives as a direct result of their work, 16 of them in Manitoba.
