Media Advisory: April 28, Day of Mourning for Killed and Injured Workers

CLC Executive V-P Barbara Byers will be in Saskatoon


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 24, 2013) - On Sunday, April 28 Canadians will observe a National Day of Mourning in memory of workers killed or injured on the job. Canadian Labour Congress Executive Vice-President Barbara Byers will participate in an event organized by the Saskatoon and District Labour Council. Byers will also be available to the media.

In 2012, a total of 56 Saskatchewan workers lost their lives as a result of their work, a steep increase from 37 in 2011.
