OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 27, 2012) - Barb Byers, Canadian Labour Congress Executive Vice-President, will attend Labour Day events in Moncton on Sunday, September 2 and Charlottetown on Monday, September 3. The events are sponsored by the Moncton and District Labour Council and the Prince Edward Island Federation of Labour. Byers will be available for comments to the media.
Canadian workers have celebrated their achievements on this day since it was declared a national holiday in 1894. The focus this year is on the Union Advantage - how unions stand up for fairness on behalf of their members and all Canadians.
