Media Advisory: Blind Boys of Alabama Returning to Ottawa in Support to the Foundation Fighting Blindness and the University of Ottawa Eye Institute

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 25, 2009) - The Grammy Award winning Blind Boys of Alabama will be returning to Ottawa this spring in support of the Foundation Fighting Blindness and the University of Ottawa Eye Institute.



Date: Monday, March 30, 2009

Time: VIP reception starts at 6:30 p.m.
Concert begins at 8:00 p.m.

Location: The Dominion Chalmers United Church, 355 Cooper St. Ottawa, ON

Cost: VIP packages - $150.00
General admission - $50.00


Prior to the concert the Blind Boys of Alabama will host a VIP reception. VIP tickets include a meet and greet with the Blind Boys of Alabama, a souvenir photo CD of the event, an elegant cocktail reception, a Blind Boys CD, and a tour of the Ottawa Eye Institute.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the University of Ottawa Eye Institute (OEI) towards the purchase of equipment to and in vision research. A portion will also be donated to the Foundation Fighting Blindness to support exemplary research in the area of degenerative retinal diseases.
