Media Advisory: BMO Opens Its Doors to Help New Canadians Find Employment

Job Seekers will meet face-to-face with BMO employees through 'Speed Mentoring' program at the bank's Meadowvale Customer Contact Centre.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 15, 2011) - BMO Financial Group's new Meadowvale Customer Contact Centre (CCC) in Mississauga, Ontario, is open for business -- and BMO is hiring. To help find qualified candidates and assist job-seeking newcomers at the same time, BMO has partnered with ACCES Employment to host one of ACCES' innovative Speed Mentoring events.

Through a series of rapid-fire 'speed mentoring' sessions, more than a dozen BMO employees will meet with each of the hopeful job seekers to explore their skills, experience and career aspirations. The BMO mentors will provide mentees with advice about everything from networking strategies, resume preparation, interviewing and job opportunities within the bank, all in a tightly-timed series of back-to-back-to-back conversations that will each last 10 minutes.

News media are invited to observe the Speed Mentoring as it takes place and to interview mentees, mentors, ACCES and BMO spokespeople.

Photo and video opportunities are also available throughout the event.
