Media Advisory: Brent King's National Underwear Drive 2009

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 30, 2009) - Come out and cheer on Canada's "Underwear King" this July 3rd at 2pm as his customized RV rolls into Montreal after having travelled across Canada, in order to deliver 2,500 pairs of underwear to Welcome Hall Mission.

With the help of friends and sponsors, Brent King, a Calgary businessman will tour 10 cities in 11 days in Canada with the goal to raise awareness about the issue of homelessness. Since the 24th of June, Brent made it his mission to deliver 25,000 pairs of underwear to the homeless in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax.

Welcome Hall Mission was chosen because its shelter (Men's Mission) receives up to 185 homeless men. This refuge provides them with showers, clean clothing and two meals per day. The Mission also has a rehabilitation program (Welcome Hall Residence), that helps the homeless and men with dependencies reintegrate into society and into the job market, as well as a food bank that feeds up to 9,000 Montrealers each month.

Join us and Brent King in giving a helping hand to " Brent King's National Underwear Drive 2009 ". It is the first initiative of its kind in Canada.

The media is invited to accompany Brent King during his guided tour of Welcome Hall Mission's Multiservice Center.

Join us in encouraging others to help those who are in need.
