OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 2, 2005) - On the eve of the Labour Day weekend, the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) alerts motorists and travelers planning a trip to the U.S. this weekend that they are likely to encounter higher gasoline prices and the possibility of spot gasoline shortages and longer lines to fill up due to panicked buying.

Gasoline shortages are not an issue for travel within Canada.
