Media Advisory/Canada Post: World Authority on One to One Marketing Headlines Calgary Forum

Attention Business Editors

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - May 2, 2008) - Many businesses hurt their bottom line by not being focused enough on growing their customers' business, says international marketing expert Don Peppers, the keynote speaker at the Addressing an Audience of One Executive Forum hosted by Canada Post on May 6th.

"We earn our keep by solving the business problems of our clients. It's that simple," says Peppers, who is recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on customer-focused relationship management strategies, and is highly in demand as a speaker and management advisor with Fortune 500 companies. Peppers is also a co-author, along with business partner Martha Rogers, Ph.D., of a series of international best sellers that have sold over a million copies in 15 languages. Their new book, Rules To Break and Laws To Follow: How Your Business Can Beat the Crisis of Short-Termism, champions the right corporate culture as a company's most competitive advantage.

Many of Calgary's senior marketing, customer care and billing executives will attend the half-day forum to learn from Peppers, as well as from experts at Canada Post and other companies, how they can better connect with their customers through targeted, relevant and respectful customer communications. Other guest speakers include Nick Romano of Prinova and Pat McGrew of Kodak who will address the power of TransPromo - a customer communication tool which blends customer statements with targeted promotion.

The forum will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre, 1316 33 Street NE. Sessions will focus on elements of an integrated customer communication strategy including statement design, production and presentation strategies, and best practices for direct mail campaigns and returns management.

"We're committed to helping Canadian organizations continuously improve how they communicate with their customers," says Peter Melanson, Senior Vice-President of Transaction Mail at Canada Post. "In addition to providing leadership and guidance in this area, we've taken the initiative to supply the tools and resources our customers need to get the most out of their customer communications."

Five more forums will be headlined by Peppers or Rogers in the following cities: Vancouver (May 8) Montreal (May 22), Ottawa (May 27), Halifax (June 19) and Toronto (June 25).
