Media Advisory: Canada Research Chairs Congregate for Unique Celebration

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 26, 2008) - More than 100 Canada Research Chairs-renowned scholars and scientists from over 35 universities across the country-will gather for a unique celebration of research excellence at the Universite du Quebec en Outaouais in Gatineau today. Entitled Inventing the Future: Ideas for the 21st Century, the day will feature round table discussions with Canada Research Chairs on recent developments and future prospects in science, technology, and society.

and CEO, Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI); Pierre
Chartrand, acting president of the Canadian Institutes
of Health Research (CIHR); Suzanne Fortier, president
of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research
