Media Advisory: Canada's Labour Leaders to Attend Layton State Funeral

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 26, 2011) - Ken Georgetti, President of the Canadian Labour Congress, will be in Toronto tomorrow to attend the state funeral of the Hon. Jack Layton. He will be joined by many of the leaders and senior officers of Canada's national and international trade unions for the service at Roy Thomson Hall.

Georgetti will be available for comment following the funeral service.

The Canadian Labour Congress, the national voice of the labour movement, represents 3.2 million Canadian workers. The CLC brings together Canada's national and international unions along with the provincial and territorial federations of labour and 130 district labour councils.
