Media Advisory: Canadian Hockey Stars to Coach Over 200 Female Minor Hockey Players at First Ever Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest Vancouver

Canadian Olympians Cherie Piper and Vicky Sunohara are teaming up to coach over 200 young female hockey players this weekend at Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest Vancouver. The event takes place on Sunday, November 10th, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Rogers Arena, in partnership with the Vancouver Canucks.

The girls will have an inspiring day of hockey skills training, and will also learn life skills through a special session dedicated to giving back to the community. There will also be a keynote address from the former Olympians where they will discuss the importance of being part of a team and how hard work and dedication helped them reach their goals, both on and off the ice.

Players from The Pacific Steelers women's hockey team

Over 200 young female hockey players from Novice, Atom, Peewee and Bantam levels (ages 7 - 14 years)
