Media Advisory-Canadian Hurricane Center Media Technical Briefings: Hurricane Earl

DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 31, 2010) - Media representatives are advised that officials from Environment Canada's Canadian Hurricane Centre will give media technical briefings on the potential weather conditions expected from Hurricane Earl. Chris Fogarty, Program Supervisor for the Canadian Hurricane Centre, will present the latest forecast information about Hurricane Earl at each briefing.

A technical briefing may be held on Saturday, September 4 if the weather conditions warrant one.

**NOTE: No individual media interviews will be granted 90 minutes prior to the start of the briefing sessions (from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm) to allow the forecasters time to prepare for the briefing sessions, and for 90 minutes following the briefing sessions (2:00 to 3:30 pm) to give the forecasters time to prepare their updated afternoon bulletins.
