Media Advisory: Canadian Hurricane Centre Media Technical Briefings Re Hurricane Bill

DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 20, 2009) - Media representatives are advised that Canadian Hurricane Centre officials from Environment Canada will give two technical media briefings on the significant weather conditions expected from Hurricane Bill. Peter Bowyer, Program Supervisor for the Canadian Hurricane Centre, will present the latest forecast information about Hurricane Bill.

Representatives from Nova Scotia's Emergency Management Office will also be on hand to answer questions in person, and representatives from the Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland & Labrador Emergency Measures Organizations may also be participating by phone.

First Event: Media Technical Briefing
Date: Friday, August 21, 2009
Time: 1:00 p.m. Atlantic

Second Event: Media Technical Briefing
Date: Saturday, August 22, 2009
Time: 3:30 p.m. Atlantic

Location: 45 Alderney Drive, Dartmouth, NS: 15th Floor Boardroom (# 1524). Media should enter the building through the main entrance on Alderney Drive.
